Bartlett Lake

Chaun Keating and his 1999 X-star with 2275lbs of hidden ballast aptly dubbed the Deathstar due to it's huge wake and notorious reputation.

Holy Shit, I don't know where to begin. The crew, the wake, the ballast system, Chaun being out of commission with a failed Tantrum attempt the day before or the Night Riding???? Let's go in order, the crew that night consisted of birthday boy Jared Vesely, Chaun and Sarah Keating, Melissa, Taylor, Dean and myself. This group of people was hilarious listening to them all talk and feed off of each other, Sarah "coming out of her shell", Taylor and the Cornback Rattle-stricter or bodybuilding jokes.

This wake is sick, it's easily up to Sarah's ass or hip when she rides next to it. I don't know the full schematics, but roughly 2300 pounds of water in various locations (tanks) throughout the boat. I've never been popped or "bucked" is more like it that high in my nearly 2 years of riding. This X-Star is a pretty sick machine, I was totally impressed with the wake and can't wait to get another crack at it...... BTW Chaun designed the system himself and installed it himself. Nice Job Man, it rocks!!

Night Riding, where do I begin? I had never had the opportunity to board after dark prior to that night, it was exhilerating, unnverving and purifying all at the same time. You can't see the wake (no spotlights, no fog lights, no hand held glo-sticks) just you, the dark and the wake.... Instincts, trust and fundamentals. Charge!! Charge!! Charge the wake!! Make it look bad!!

Melissa with good hs pop!
