Malibu Just Ride Tour Stop

Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Drove up to Havasu Saturday morning to volunteer through the AWA, this was my first trip to the river town and I must admit, I have been missing out!! Luckily I got to hang out with Christine Cameron(CeCe), Shawn Kelsh, his girlfriend Shannon, Ron Q, Tom and Chrissy Bugg with her sister and brother-in-law Joe Balint . Sunday morning I was lucky enough to be out on the boat with JJ Atamian, Joey DiNapoli, Shawn, Joe and Tom.

The event itself was great to watch and totally laid back. I enjoyed seeing the pros who were there signing autographs, talking to spectators and just hanging out enjoying the weather and scereny, since they couldn't enjoy the water. The water conditions were horrible, I couldn't imagine riding let alone landing anything like Ricky G's Tantrum to Blind or Darin's "FULL Moon" 900 off the kicker. I had the chance to finally meet Dave Williams from Wakeworld.com and his buddy Glen Burke who had made the drive from San Diego to Lake Havasu. Meeting up with Gerry Nunn and his wife was also a good time, but the biggest thrill was getting to see all these great riders up close and just shooting the shit with them. Talking to the pros is great, especially as the popularity of wakeboarding soars, I was lucky enough to catch up with Emily Copeland again and chat with her briefly.
