"down the shore!"

Matt Kelly and his Pro Air

While I was in Trenton, NJ visiting some family for Labor Day weekend Matt Kelly graciously opened his boat to me and offered me a pull, if I was willing to make the drive. Needless to say my trusty steed, Wayne the step-father, and I made the 90 minute or so drive from Trenton to the small summer town of Avalon. Wakeboarding haven for those of you outside of this wonderful city, shhhhh! don't give away the secret!

Matt, his fiance Sandy and his buddy Vince (who we'll refer to as V-man) were more than accomodating that Friday afternoon. V-man hit the water first, tearing it up and working on little things the guys at OWC had pointed out to him. We cruise over to the secluded beach area, pick up Sandy and now I'm up. Whooooooa! Salt water takes a little getting used to, up the nose in the mouth.... oh yeah, I love it. Great wake, good pop and that classic Nauti feel! Sandy rode next and was an endurance machine, she never fell... made me look bad! A little more practice and she'll be landing in the flats! and then.... the clouds parted and Matt Kelly stepped to the swim step and the heavens spoke... no wait, it was Matt, just glad that V-man could drive a D-up and keep the boat straight!! We all had great runs the rest of the day and the pictures will be up as soon as they are developed! Damn I need a digital camera!!
